Warehouse Lead
Our client, located in Pleasanton, CA, is in need of a Warehouse Lead for a Contract to possible hire opportunity.

Your Role:
Work as an integral part of the Warehouse team, performing a support role as well as assisting Warehouse and Distribution Manager and Inventory Analyst with Inventory Control. 
Responsible for on time Receiving and Incoming Inspection, and Kit Audit.
Manage, perform and monitor all receiving and put away transactions. 
Reports to: Warehouse and Distribution Manager
Under minimal supervision of the Warehouse and Distribution Manager - acts as the focal person for all incoming shipments, component audit sampling, stocking, kitting, inventory system update, record maintenance and warehouse upkeep (cleanliness) in a medium size business environment.
Oversees the team activities for productivity, on-time delivery of kits, continuous improvement, and component delivery cycle time, daily output, safety, physical cycle count, and team well-being as the primary goal. Build a positive team relationship based on measurable goals, open communication and participative management.
Responsible for Receiving Incoming Inspection for all purchased items and consigned items if it requires inspection.
Assist and help Inventory Analyst or Warehouse and Distribution Manager reconcile any inventory discrepancies.
Assist in the processing of Production shortages for turnkey and consigned work orders.
Establish a clean, neat, organized warehouse.
Maintain department established goals to achieve company goals and quality objectives.
Operates computerized shipping manifest system like UPS, FedEx, etc.
Ensure all orders are picked and packed according the shipping schedule.
Ensure all due orders get shipped on daily basis.
Prepares freight bills, air bills and other shipping related documents.
Plan, organize and prioritize orders based on ship method and carrier schedules.
Loads and unloads materials from trucks using forklift or pallet jack.
Prepare labels and Bill of Lading per routing guide and customer specifications.
Prepare the shipments per routing guide and customer specifications accordingly.
Schedule carriers for pick-ups and follow up on the pick-up schedule, especially on the customer arranged pick-ups to ensure the pick-ups take place on timely manners.

Background Profile:
Detailed knowledge of inventory and record maintenance.
3-5 years’ experience in warehouse environment.
Experience at managing heavy workloads and assign resources as needed in receiving (practical) decision-making skills.
Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in general Warehousing, picking, Receiving, Cycle Counting, Reverse Logistics, Shipping, Fulfillment, Picking, Packing and Returns. 
High level of attention to detail is required.
Experience with all computer shipping manifest system such as UPS, FedEx, USPS or third party online manifest systems.
Experience with freight distribution (domestic and international) 
Familiar with computerized shipping manifest.
Previously forklift certified.
Must have a detailed knowledge of Inventory and Record Maintenance.
High-School Diploma or GED
Distribution and excellent Inventory Management skills.
Utilize Scanning systems and create Scan reports as required.
Must be able to speak and write English clearly.
Must be able to provide gap analysis and process improvements when required.
Computer/Software: Intuitive ERP, Windows, MS Word and Excel.
