Temporary Benefits Planning Manager
Our client, located in San Antonio, TX, is in immediate need of a Temporary Benefits Planning Manager for a role estimated to last between 2 and 3 months. If this person performs this role well, there is some opportunity to be hired afterwards.

Company Profile:
Large retail establishment located in multi-state

Your Role:
This person will be the go-to person within the company for benefits and will be responsible for everything from strategic planning, development, implementation, communication and administration of all of the benefit programs.
The main purpose of the role is to lead the design and planning of the benefits, plan review, design strategy, benchmarking, cost analysis and selection of new vendors
Resolve escalated benefit questions 
Be the main contact for benefit vendors
Be able to clearly communicate all of the benefits to new hires and existing employees
Follow regulations for reporting 5500s, SPDs, SMMs, SARs, etc
Make sure that all programs such as HIPAA, ERISA, COBRA, DOL, IRS are in compliance at both a state and federal level
Develop annual wellness budget
Manage 401K, recognition and Leave of Absence 

Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business
CEBS or MBA preferred
8+ years of benefit plan experience
Previous experience with 401K, recognition and Leave of Absence
Experience with administration, including carrier management, employee communication and implementation and development/management experience 
Must have at least 5 years of experience with an organization of at least 10,000 participants
Strong compliance knowledge with IRS, DOL, FMLA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPPA, Healthcare reform
Previous HRIS system experience such as Peoplesoft, SAP, Oracle etc
Experience with Mercer Market Place or Benefit Focus is highly preferred
