Our leading healthcare client located in Addison, TX is offering an excellent opportunity for a Materials Technician to join the team on a Direct Hire basis.

Materials Technician Role:
The Materials Technician is responsible for performing supply chain duties including ordering, receiving, and delivering goods to ensure departments have supplies and equipment needed to provide excellent patient care.  
Requisition/place routine and non-routine orders (Purchase Orders) through the Information System.
Receive routine and non-routine purchase orders through internal system.
Assist with establishing min/max levels.
Assist in maintaining inventory levels and perform quarterly physical inventory counts.
Deliver/distribute/replenish supplies/equipment/linen to departments.
Maintain information system item master, including descriptions, pricing, par levels, and expense codes.
Coordinate return shipments and maintain return log.
Keep shelves and storage bins clean and organized.
Monitor back-orders.
Assist with tissue/biologic tracking program, including checking in and logging tissue, bone, and other biologics.
Assist with consignment process.
Provide back-up support for Bill Only process for implant purchase orders.

Materials Technician Background Profile:
High School Diploma required
Previous experience in healthcare preferred
Experience creating Bill Only Purchase orders
Previous experience as a surgical technologist preferred
Knowledge of orthopedic surgeries with a preference on total knees, total hips and spine surgeries
Experience working with materials ordering systems in the past
Experience with Healthcare Materials Management Information System preferred
Must be proficient in MS Office applications which include Outlook, Word, Excel. Utilized most frequently is V lookup's and pivot tables.
