Expediter / Customer Support Associate
Our client, located in Houston, TX, is in need of a Expediter Customer Support Associate for the office on a contract to possible hire basis

Instrument manufacturer with locations across the country

The Expeditor / Customer Support Role:
Resolve customer issues pertaining to expedites, order status, special delivery requirements, complaints and other requests about products. Must possess the soft skills required to greet customers and representatives warmly, understand problems and needs, move forward quickly on the appropriate actions, communicating efficiently and appropriately, even when unfavorable news needs to be delivered.
Act as primary expediter with various business units, including arranging special delivery requirements
Communicate directly with customers by telephone or electronically
Respond promptly to customer inquiries
Handle customer complaints working with inside team and Salesforce
Direct requests and unresolved issues to proper personnel within the organization
Provide order status (confirmations, expedites, delays in delivery, tracking shipments, etc.) for customers and outside sales staff.
Serve as liaison between the customer and various departments
Support the Inside Sales Manager as required within each Regional Centers- may include some additional administrative duties

Background Profile:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be able to handle customer complaints and professionally handle situations where the customer is not happy
Customer focused approach
Professional phone etiquette
Ability to read, analyze and interpret commercial issues and terms
Ability to write reports and professional business correspondence
Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner for effectively presenting information to external and internal customers
Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, SAP, Salesforce)
Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively to accomplish assignments and meet deadlines
Problem solving
Interpersonal skills
The ideal candidate would have 2+ years of experience in customer service and 2+ years of experience working with production facilities expediting orders
