Job Description



Our Denver, CO client is looking for an Event Director to join their growing team on a direct hire basis.  If you have large conference planning experience with revenues over $10M, this would be an excellent career move.

Event Director Role:
Report to the CEO and perform strategic management of trade show initiatives to spread the organizations mission with a direct hand in planning multi-million-dollar events.
Plan multiple B2B conferences each year that generate at least $10M in revenue.
Produce material for shows achieving more than 10,000 attendees for niche events.
Prepare for product launches and relaunches and coordinate with marketing teams to enhance brand awareness.
Directly manage at least 3 key annual trade show events – Las Vegas, New Orleans, and one international location each year.  Lead a team to manage costs, marketing, participant services, and content development.
Collaborate with the internal team and external resources including vendors, hotels, AV teams, and trade show suppliers.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the organization and manage each event from start to finish.
Coordinate with sales, accounting/finance, and marketing departments as needed.

Event Director Background Profile:
At least 5+ years of large scale event management experience
Must have experience in managing events valued over $10M with attendees greater than 10,000.
Bachelor’s degree
P/L experience
International event planning experience is strongly preferred
Experience working in a highly regulated industry
Experience creating new evets from scratch would be very helpful
Strong staff management skills
Must be able to show that you have grown trade shows/conferences and made them more profitable
Experience expanding sponsorship for events
Experience creating the look and the feel of events
