Event Coordinator
Our client, located in Houston, TX is in search of 2 Event Coordinators for Direct Hire opportunities. Both of these positions will start out as work from home positions.

Company Profile:
Non-profit organization

Your Role:
Will work closely with the company headquarters to assist in the planning and execution of the seminar that is held 2 times per year
Will book various service providers
Will book hotel rooms and meeting rooms
Will be in charge of all audio-visual bookings and set up at the actual events
Work with hotel catering and offsite restaurants to design menus, special meals and booking
Make bus and other type of transportation arrangements
During the events, the coordinators are responsible for arriving early to make sure that everything is going to flow smoothing for the two- week seminar
Scout new locations
Will assist with recruiting of interns for the 2-week seminars
Set up of decorations and marketing material 

Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree required
Bachelor’s degree in Event or Tour Management is desired
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Extremely organized
Ability to self-manage and complete tasks in a timely and organized manner
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
3+ years of large event management experience
Ability to work from home is required for this role
Must be able to stay onsite at the hotel during the 2 events each year
Must be able to travel abroad for one week of training (paid for by company)
