Contract Project Manager
Our client, located in Rosenberg, TX is in need of a Contract Project Manager for a project that is estimated to last from 6 to 12 months. This position does have the opportunity to go contract to hire after the initial contract period.

Your Role:
The main function of this role is to manage all Project activities as described below for taking a
Diesel Rotary UPS Project from Point of Sale to Project Closeout.
Have the ability to read and interpret documents such as basic electrical and mechanical schematics, customer specifications, have basic knowledge of the NEC and general construction site safety.
Assist with Sales and Engineering for project due diligence prior to sale.
From point of sale to internal Sales department transfer to Projects, assume all Company responsibilities including scheduling, vendor selection, vendor negotiations, purchasing, logistics, accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
Work within customer specifications and Company sales orders with little or no deviation unless approved
by a senior manager.
Responsible for creating the project schedule based on project milestones and Company scope of supply agreements.
Responsible for creating and maintaining project cash flows.
Responsible for creating and maintaining material tracking and logistics documents.
Responsible for cataloging technical submittals packages and presentations to customer.
Responsible and manages commissioning teams including adherence to project schedule and employee time reporting. 
Team Leader during commissioning period including safety compliance in accordance with Company handbook and site requirements.
Responsible for all project budget expenses.
Point of Contact for Company during projects with customers and vendors.
Responsible for providing updates to senior management on status of projects.
Responsible for vendor invoicing and accuracy against Company P.O.s. Approves vendor invoicing for purchase orders and submits to Company Accounts Payable.
Responsible for providing billing milestone’s on time.
Reports to senior management any deviation of the project schedule.
Responsible for collection of customer invoicing.
Responsible for insuring the lead Commissioning Engineer maintains a daily log of on-site activity.
Keeps accurate and consistent organized job records including e-mail correspondence.
Responsible for clearing any punch list items during the course of the project within Company scope.
Responsible for project closeout.

Background Profile:
College level degree in Business, 3 years Project Manager experience, 7 years senior technical field experience with managerial skills, or 3 years supervisor of field management or equivalent military experience.
Must possess accuracy and organizational skills.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Projects.
Above Average knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Above Average knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Calendar.
Excellent oral & written skills to communicate with all levels of associates, vendors, and customers
Must possess the ability to compose emails, business letters and other correspondence, correct in grammar and usage. Must have the ability to communicate verbally in a professional and courteous manner. Excellent Communication skills.
Must have the ability to perform simple mathematical functions and the ability to calculate discounts, interest, margins, profits and percentages.
Must be capable of working independently with little or no supervision.
