Outstanding opportunity for a Bookkeeper - Construction in Fort Worth, TX to work for our busy and growing client on a direct hire basis.

Bookkeeper - Construction Role:
Understand accounting principles, cash and accrual accounting
General Ledger:  Strong general ledger skills.  Responsibilities include reconciliation of general ledger accounts: assets, liabilities, bank accounts, intercompany accounts.  Set up liabilities and assets on acquisition.
Accounts Payable: Verification and approval is done by others.  Posting of accounts payable invoices with job costing.  
Accounts Receivable:  Invoices by others.  Verify deposits and job costing.  End of job audit of invoices and payments.  
Payroll:  QuickBooks payroll module.  Pay liabilities and file quarterly reports.  Employee and subcontractor payments by others.
Job Costing: Allocation of overhead expenses once quarterly. Preparation of Work in Progress report each quarter.
Financial and Reports:  Recap of expenses and job cost reconciliation on a weekly basis.  Preparation of Financial Statements on a quarterly basis.  Year-end preparation of financials for accountant.  

Bookkeeper - Construction Background Profile:
Minimum 3+ years' experience as a bookkeeper
Associates degree in Accounting is a plus but not required.  Practical experience over a degree is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
Proficient in QuickBooks or other accounting software.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
Detail oriented and demonstrates a high level of accuracy
Ability to prioritize work and meet established deadlines
Ability to work independently & collaboratively
Must be able to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect pertinent data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and initiate the appropriate course of action
Must effectively convey ideas, images, and goals
Ability and desire to work in a small office and wear many hats on any given day
